Bathroom remodels that do not require using stairs or elevators to access the job site cost less money. You will save $698 if your bathroom is on the first floor/street level.

Type of Home *

The type of home being remodeled contributes to the project price. Condos and spaces not on the first floor cost more to remodel.

This includes a detached single family home, as well as a townhouse/rowhouse.

Access to condo buildings requires more coordination and time, which makes remodeling a condo more expensive.

Year Bathroom was Built or Remodeled *

The age of your bathroom varies the price of the remodel. This is based on the conditions of your existing space. Older bathrooms cost more to remodel than newer bathrooms do.

Homes built or remodeled prior to 1966 contain lead paint on the walls. Special precautions will be taken to remove the lead paint safely according to the EPA’s RRP lead containment requirements. Additionally, these homes typically have 3”-5” concrete floors and 1” thick concrete walls which need to be removed in order to remove the old tile. The pricing includes the replacement of the existing drain lines found in the concrete floor, new wood floor joists with plywood subfloor, as well as the removal of the remaining plaster walls and replacement with new drywall.

Homes built or remodeled prior to 1978 likely contain lead paint on the walls. Additionally, these homes typically have 1” thick concrete floors which need to be removed in order to remove the old tile.
